Colin Kaepernick Announces He Will Donate 100% Of His Jersey Sales To Communities In Need

Contrary to what many would have expected immediately after Colin Kaepernick first sat for the National Anthem, the 49ers backup QB’s jersey sales have exploded.

Kaepernick’s #7 jersey is currently the best selling jersey in the NFL, #1 on the team website and on NFLShop.com. After the news hit, the QB took to Instagram to vow the he will donate every dime he receives to communities and people in need.

This follows the pledge of $1 million dollars he will also donate, the first million he makes this year.

“I wasn’t expecting my jersey sales to jump to number one because of this, but it shows the people’s belief that we can achieve justice and equality for ALL!”

“The only way I can repay you for the support is to return the favor by donating all the proceeds I receive from my jersey sales back into the communities!”

Keep in mind, NFL players don’t make the full amount paid for the jersey, as they share the profits with the league. There’s no clear amount yet on how much the donating will be, but it will surely be enough to make a difference.
