Much was made of Tim Tebow’s transition from Heisman trophy winner and college football god, to an NFL football failure turned MLB dreamer.

Tebow, who was signed by the New York Mets after holding a tryout for MLB scouts in Los Angeles a few months ago, made his instructional league debut Wednesday in a game vs St. Louis Cardinals’ such team in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

Talk about a good first impression – the 29-year-old crushed an opposite-field solo home run with the very first pitch he saw:
