The University of Miami needed a late stop in the 4th quarter to get the ball back from the Florida State Seminoles, and did just that forcing an incomplete pass over the middle. Only problem – a nonsense ‘targeting’ penalty was called.

Following the review and subsequent confirmation, Canes fans began showing the East end zone of Hard Rock Stadium with bottles and trash in protest of the call as their player was ejected and FSU was awarded a first down:
