If you don’t fee bad for Phillip Rivers at this point you may have no heart.
The perennial Pro Bowler who puts up the stats on that of a all-time great’s level week in and week out always seems to find himself in the purgatory of ‘down a score with 40 seconds left in the game, likely running for his life.’
The latest example came Sunday, where Rivers threw for 359 yards and 4 touchdowns with half his weapons injured, but of course he lost. Because Phillip Rivers.
After his punter fumbled the snap of the kick that would have tied the game, Rivers was spotted on the sideline saying to himself, “We’re the Bad News Bears, man.”
Lol he definitely said that RT @edub9atl: #philliprivers says the @Chargers are the #badnewsbears #SDvsOAK pic.twitter.com/6uTbax82gJ
