After a rough 1-4 start to the Chip Kelly era in San Francisco, the team has made the move from quarterback Blaine Gabbert to backup Colin Kaepernick.

Gabbert, who has the most losses of any QB since entering the league, lost another last night vs the Cardinals on Thursday Night Football, finishing 18 for 31 with 162 yards, 1 TD and 2 INTs.

Though reports surfaced Friday morning that 3rd-string QB Christian Ponder had the support of the 49ers locker room to overtake Gabbert as the starter (which shows you just how shitty that team’s QB situation is), the team will finally make the inevitable move back to #7.

Early reports are Kaepernick will take a knee on every play to continue his protest.

“I have an even bigger platform now,” Kaepernick told the media. “I’ll actually be on the field instead of holding the clipboard. I will continue taking a knee on every play until I see change.”

Projections show the 49ers offense will still score as money points as they did previously this season.
