We aren’t sure how a play like this came from a football team that’s whole existence stems from an institution of higher learning, but it has.
With BYU taking on Boise State in Idaho Friday night, the Cougars bewildered (everyone except the Broncos’ defense) by running a fake punt play on 4th & 19 from their own end zone.

With a stroke of luck, the blunder didn’t even hurt BYU, and the Broncos were held to a short field goal attempt that was somehow missed.
