The Bears made major changes to their QB depth chart this offseason, but apparently they weren’t done.
After the Browns solved the debate over whether they would draft Myles Garrett or Mitch Trubisky with their first-overall pick, the Bears traded picks with the 49ers, moving up to the second-overall slot from the third. They gave up their 3rd overall pick, a 3rd-round, 4th-round, & 2018 3rd-round pick to move up just a single spot to selected the UNC quarterback who only started one season (13 total games) in Chapel Hill.
