There’s been a ridiclous amount of money that is has been thrown around during the NBA Free Agency and it’s caught the eye of basketball fans who play professional football.
After news broke that Golden State Warriors super star Steph Curry would be signing a 5-year, $201 million dollar contract extension, NFL players took to Twitter to second guess the sport they chose to player professionally:
Dam 200 mil. I’ll b happy when they start giving football players what they deserve

A few NFL stars took it a step further and said they would push their children to play basketball instead of football:
Yea unfortunately that’s why my boy is gone play baseball haha https://t.co/iVuUpQ1gk4

My kid will be playing basketball or baseball https://t.co/GNRthL59c8

What’s more bizare is when you actually see the comparison between NFL salaries and NBA salaries like this one:
Base salary for 2017-18 season:
Steph Curry: $34.6M
Blake Griffin: $29.7M
Mike Conley: $28.5M
Jrue Holiday: $25.2MOdell Beckham: $1.8M

It’s actually pretty insane that the football, which is more of a dangerous sport than basketball and baseball don’t have fully guaranteed contracts.
