After an offseason spent talking about Colin Kaepernick’s decision to sit during the National Anthem and his inability to find a job because of it, Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch is joining the movement.
Ahead of Oakland’s preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals Saturday night, Lynch refused to stand during the anthem, sitting on a cooler behind his team. He was the only Raider sitting.

Lynch’s protest (likely non coincidentally) comes during the same day of the white nationalist rallies being held in Charlottesville, Virginia.
The game is the first since Lynch came out of retirement to join his hometown Raiders.
