Michael Bennett, one of the faces of continuing Colin Kaepernick’s protest of racial oppression and police brutality, went public with an incident that involved him the night of the Connor McGregor-Floyd Mayweather fight on Aug 26.
Post fight, gun shots rang out outside Drai’s Nightclub in Las Vegas, to which Bennett allegedly ran from. The Seahawks star was then stopped by police and handcuffed, and according to Bennett, had a gun pulled on him and was told he would have his “f*cking” head blown off by police.
TMZ Sports obtained video of the arrest.
You can hear Bennett proclaim in the video, “I wasn’t doing nothing man! I was here with my friends! They told us to get out, everybody ran!”
The video does not capture the threat, but does capture Bennett being cuffed by Las Vegas PD while lying face down on the sidewalk, an arrest Bennett claims was racially motivated.
