After just four games, the Chicago Bears 3-year, $45 million dollar offseason acquisition has reportedly been benched in Chicago.

According to @670thescore’s Post Game host Olin Kreutz, the Bears will go with the team’s 2016 No. 2 overall pick Mitch Trubiksy out of UNC.

Though the seemed like a reach at the time, Trusbisky impressed during the preseason, enough so for fans to wonder if he should have been the Week 1 starter.

Truskisy, a suspected bust at the time he was picked, was even booed the night after draft night at the Chicago Bulls game. What a difference a few months make with Bears fans clambering for the rookie after a four turnover game from Glennon against the Packers Thursday night.

Trubisky will make his first start against the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football on Sep. 9.

As on Monday, Oct. 2, ESPN’s Adam Schefter has confirmed this.
