Deshaun Watson was the missing piece the Houston Texans had been looking for the countless seasons of having a stellar defense with an offense lead by a mediocre quarterback at best.
The rookie has electrified the NFL since seeing his first action in the first game of the season following the benching of Tom Savage. The Clemson alum has already throen for the same number of touchdown passed through five and a half games than Brock Osweiler has through 16 games, all of last season.
Houston Texan TD Passes:
2017: Deshaun Watson, 15
2016: Brock Osweiler, 15#Texans— Sean Pendergast (@SeanTPendergast) October 15, 2017
Watson’s 13 TD passes are the most by a rookie in his first six games in NFL history. He’s also the first rookie QB with 3 consecutive games of 3+ TD passes since Butch Songin in 1960.
Watson is putting up the numbers that he was putting at Clemson, in the NFL.
