Referee Who Said Dez Didn’t Catch It Will Officiate Cowboys-Raiders Game

When Dez Bryant and the Dallas Cowboys take the field on Sunday Night in Oakland, they’ll be greeted by a familiar face that cost them a potential berth in a Super Bowl with one questionable call a few years ago in chilly Green Bay.

For the first time in almost three years, referee Gene Steratore will be officiating a Dallas Cowboys game, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter:

Of course, everyone remembers Gene’s infamous no-catch call against Dez Bryant in the divisional round of the 2014 playoffs against the Green Bay Packers.

The ruling essentially brought the catch or no-catch rule to the forefront of the NFL and promoted many to try and figure out what exactly is a catch and what isn’t.

No one still hasn’t figured it out.

Sunday’s game against the Oakland Raiders is very important for the Cowboys as they would likely need to win out to have any chance at a playoff berth so Dez might want to go out of his way to make sure he catches the ball.
