Georgia LB Davin Bellamy Tells Baker Mayfield To “Humble Yourself” After Rose Bowl

The Georgia Bulldogs knocked off the Baker Mayfield led Oklahoma Sooners in an epic Rose Bowl, 54-48 in double overtime.

The loss marks the last game of the tumultuous college career for the Sooners QB. Mayfield will be known for his passion and pride but also his antics towards opponents that put a target on his back.

After the heartbreaking loss, Georgia linebacker Davin Bellamy had some words for Mayfield, telling the 2017 Heisman Trophy winner to “humble” himself:

Oklahoma and arguably the most potent offense in college football started the Rose Bowl off hot, scoring 31 points in the first half. That’s more points than the Bulldogs had surrendered in any game, all season.

Early in the first quarter, Mayfield made a gesture towards the Georgia sidelines, saying “it’s over.”

However, Georgia was able to lead a vicious comeback from 31-14, winning 54-48. Here was Mayfield coming off the field one last time as a member of the Oklahoma Sooners:
