REPORT: Chris Paul Has Already Begun Recruiting LeBron James To Houston

The Houston Rockets season came to end after a heartbreaking Game 7 loss to the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Finals. It was a disappointing finish for a Rockets team that took a 3-2 lead thanks to the brilliance of Chris Paul.

But the series took a turn for the worst when Paul suffered a series-ending injury that forced him to miss Game 6 and 7.

According to the New York Times, Paul has already begun the recruitment of free agent-to-be LeBron James.

Don’t get me wrong: There will still be plenty of talk over the next two weeks about what James will do July 1 and the growing belief that he’ll be leaving his home-state Cavaliers this offseason to join a team better suited to consistently challenge Golden State. Rest assured that the Rockets’ understandably devastated Chris Paul — who made a fast exit from Toyota Center late Monday night after being forced to watch the biggest game of his life from the bench because of his hamstring injury — has already begun his recruitment of James to Houston.

LeBron James is on one of the best playoff runs that we’ve seen in recent memory and is doing in without any significant help. He’s currently taking part in his eighth straight NBA Finals and has a tough task going against the mighty Warriors.

As for Chris Paul and the Rockets, he awaits to see what happens in these Finals but can assume, after JR Smith’s boneheaded play at the end of regulation, it surely doesn’t help the Cavaliers retaining James in free agency.
