NFL Won’t Allow Chiefs Lineman Who Graduated Med School Wear ‘M.D.’ On Jersey

Laurent Duvernay-Tardif spent his offseason hitting the books en route to graduating medical school at Montreal’s McGill University, but it looks like all he’ll have to show for it will be his diploma.

The Chiefs offensive lineman asked the NFL if he could add the extension “M.D.” to his name on the back of jersey, but was denied by the league Saturday.
