Chiefs Lineman Wants To Put ‘M.D.’ On Back Of His Jersey After Graduating From Med School

While most NFL players spend their off-seasons hitting the beaches on vacations, Laurent Duvernay-Tardif of the Kansas City Chiefs guard spent it hitting the books, en route to graduating medical school.

Well, he did it, adding doctor to his already impressive resume.

To cement his accomplishment, Duvernay-Tardif wants to make one slight change to his jersey for next season, adding ‘M.D.’ to his name on the back of his jersey.

According to Aaron Rose of theKansas City Star“I’ve , he’s already contacted the league to see if it can be a possibility.

With the league having strict rules on what exactly can be read on a jersey nameplate, only time will tell.

But considering he’s a doctor, perhaps he can help himself and his teammates when they all choke in the playoffs.
