Le’Veon Bell is not expected to report by the Tuesday deadline, meaning he’ll forfeit playing in the entire 2018 season and will lose out on the $14.5 million that comes along with it.
That makes this tweet just a bit awkward.
Someone dug up this tweet Bell sent in February of 2013 saying if a player can sit out a year of their sport for reasons other than injury, then they don’t love it.
If youu could sit out a year of a sport youu play and your not injured or somethin else is preventing youu to play, then youu don’t love it!

The tweet is believed to be in reference to the Jadeveon Clowney situation. Some had advised Clowney sitting out the 2013 season to avoid injury entering the 2014 NFL Draft, where he was expected to be the top pick.
Now that Bell may be staying away from football for the entire 2018 season, perhaps his previous words could be used against him to suggest he doesn’t love football.
