Apparently, Cody Parkey’s missed game winning field goal attempt during Sunday’s Wild Card game against the Philadelphia Eagles had an impact on ticket sales for both the Los Angeles Rams and the New Orleans Saints.
According to ESPN’s Darren Rovell, ticket prices for the Los Angeles Rams game nearly doubled hours after Parkey’s missed field goal attempt while New Orleans Saints ticket prices were nearly cut in half.
Why? Because the Dallas Cowboys sell.
The power of the Cowboys: Cheapest playoff priced ticket, on StubHub, seconds before the Cody Parkey kick:
Rams $160
Saints $28512 hours later:
Rams $329
Saints $180— Darren Rovell (@darrenrovell) January 7, 2019
With the Eagles winning, the Saints would actually host them on Sunday while the Cowboys would travel to Los Angeles to take on the Rams.
Hate it or love it, the Cowboys sell unlike any other team in the NFL.
