Saints Fan Start Petition To Have NFC Championship Game Referees Fired

Saints fans are pissed and deservedly so.

The no-call during Sunday’s NFC Championship Game that cost the New Orleans Saints an opportunity to run out the clock and kick a game-winning field goal attempt ultimately ended up costing them the game.

After the game, Saints fans were looking for answers and looked to change.org to start a petition to have the officiating crew for Sunday’s game fired:

  2. The refs know they were wrong. The saints would have won that game had the refs called two pass interference calls and helmet to helmet. These people need to know that there are consequences when you do your job wrong just like everyone else with a regular job.

    • Why is Brees treated so differently. Drew notices a receiver being held aND throws the ball to him forcing the flag. This is a common play among brady, rodgers, Roethlisberger but Brees gets no pi called. After the saints blew out the Eagles in week 9 the officals begin allowing no receivers to get held jammed and completely wrapped up. The defenders are constantly face guarding no receivers and constantly hit them before the ball arrives. In OT …show me the pick. I saw roughing the passer good for 15 yards and a fd. Wtf was the booth doing Brees was clearly hit on the helmet prior to the pass. Rodgers gets that call if a pinky touches him every single time.

No doubt in my mind… The whole group of refs in the Saints championship game today should be fired… plain and simple…they should also take away any earnings from their paycheck related to this game… This is just downright stupid and insane…. Thanks refs…. y’all blocked the Saints from going to the Super Bowls…nothing but a bunch of cheating… makes you wonder…does someone pay the refs off to lie and be dishonest???

    • A couple former sb champions high up in the players association have a great idea. They said the only way to save football after this is to stop the season right now. Have all the players strike until the pa and the commission agree on professional refs, accountability and instant reply on any questionable play. Goodell knows this is the final insult and agreed to a closed door meeting tomorrow. The PA said absolutely not the public deserves this explanation

    As shown on the Today Show this morning the official is in obvious view of the play and looking at the Rams player deliberately slamming the Saints player on the ground It was an obvious play by the Rams player in a moment of frustration knowing the strong possibility the Saints were going to ein the Championship To conclude my thoughts and view on the situation the official should be fired and the Rams player should not be allowed to play in the Super Bowl.

    • I totally agree with JBL. The player that struck Saints player helmet to helmet also pi should be banned from playing in the Super Bowl. Since he thinks it is so funny, let him sit out for a year also. He could have seriously hurt someone. Those refs have to go. No one except the ones they seem to cheat for will have any confidence in them. I really love football. I realize you win some, you lose some. No team needs the refs to help them lose. Since Sunday I am in state of shock.

We must walk in the Spirit so we may not fulfill the lusts of the flesh, being hatred, fornication, drunkenness and the like. Whoever practices such things will not inherit the kingdom (Galatians 5:16-26). If we sin, we may come before Jesus to ask for forgiveness (1 John 2:1-2). Evil thoughts are not sins, but rather temptations. It is not until these thoughts conceive and give birth by our own desires that they become sin (James 1:12-15). When we sin, we become in the likeness of the devil’s image, for he who sins is of the devil (1 John 3:8); but if we obey Jesus, in the image of God. For without holiness, we shall not see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).

    Jesus came to pay a debt that we could not; to be our legal justifier to reconcile us back to a Holy God; only if we are willing to receive Him: “For the wages of sin is death…” (Romans 6:23).

    God so loved the world that He gave us His only begotten son, so that whoever believes in Him, through faith, shall not perish, but have everlasting life. Jesus says if we wish to enter into life to keep the commands! The two greatest commands are to love God with all your heart, soul, strength, and mind; and your neighbor as yourself. All the law hang on these commands. We must be born of and lead by the Holy Spirit, to be called children of God, to inherit the kingdom.     Jesus came to free us from the bondage of sin. The everlasting fire was prepared for the devil and his angels due to disobedience to God’s law. If we do the same, what makes us any different than the devil? Jesus says unless we repent, we shall perish. For sin is the transgression of the law. We must walk in the Spirit so we may not fulfill the lusts of the flesh, being hatred, fornication, drunkenness and the like. Whoever practices such things will not inherit the kingdom (Galatians 5:16-26). If we sin, we may come before Jesus to ask for forgiveness (1 John 2:1-2). Evil thoughts are not sins, but rather temptations. It is not until these thoughts conceive and give birth by our own desires that they become sin (James 1:12-15). When we sin, we become in the likeness of the devil’s image, for he who sins is of the devil (1 John 3:8); but if we obey Jesus, in the image of God. For without holiness, we shall not see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).

    The oldest religion in the world is holiness through faith (James 1:27). What religion did Adam and Eve follow before the fall? Jesus, Who became the last Adam, what religion does He follow? Is He not holy? He never told us to follow the rituals and traditions of man but to take up our cross and follow Him (Luke 9:23). There are many false doctrines being taught leading people astray. This is why we need the Holy Spirit for discernment. Unlike religion, holiness cannot be created. It is given to us from above by the baptism of the Spirit.
