Retired Jaguars LB Telvin Smith Arrested At Home Following Police Warrant

The crazy year for Telvin Smith continues.

Back in May, The 28-year old linebacker abruptly announced his retirement from the NFL and was placed on the reserved/retired list by the Jacksonville Jaguars.

On Wednesday, the former Jags linebacker was in the news for all the wrong reasons. Multiple reports emerged indicating Smith was arrested at his house in Jacksonville, Florida.

“A black SUV was loaded onto a flatbed and towed from the home with a Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office cruiser following behind it.


Action News Jax reporter Meghan Moriarty saw a crime scene unit van parked outside of Smith’s home. Moriarty also saw a JSO car parked directly in front of the front door and some officers guarding the front door.

Inside a JSO crime scene van, which had its doors open, Moriarty saw brown paper bags.
