The Jacksonville Jaguars announced on Wednesday evening that Tom Coughlin has been relieved of his duties as the team’s Executive Vice President of Football Operations.
The NFLPA released a statement on Monday that the Jaguars have been making injured players attend mandatory rehab sessions at the team facility during the offseason, which is not part of the league’s CBA. In fact, the Jaguars had fined their players, and one player in particular over $700,000, for not showing up to these rehab sessions.
The NFLPA also stated that of all player grievances filed in the last two years, more than 25% came from the Jaguars alone.
Coughlin, 73, joined the Jaguars in January 2017, returning to the team he coached form 1995-2002.
