If the 49ers win it all Sunday night, Jimmy Garoppolo might go down in history for the fewest thrown passes in playoff run in the modern era.
The Niners quarterback has received criticism for not being able to air it out these playoffs, but with how good the ground game is, San Francisco has had no need to throw it.
You’d think perhaps 49ers receivers would be frustrated running route after route and throwing block after block without seeing the ball, but it’s been the complete opposite.
