Drew Brees’ Teammate Malcolm Jenkins Tells His Quarterback To “Shut The F*ck Up”

Drew Brees sent social media into a whirlwind Wednesday when the Saints QB gave his thoughts on National Anthem protests in the wake of the murder of George Floyd at the hands of police.

During the interview with Yahoo Fiannace, Brees noted that he “wont agree” with anyone who kneels for the anthem, regardless of what they’re protesting.

LeBron James and Richard Sherman were just some of the big names around the sports world to call out Brees, who were joined even by Brees’ own teammates. Brees’ RB Alvin Kamara, WR Michael Thomas and even new teammates Emmanuel Sanders and Malcolm Jenkins all voiced their feelings back at their QB following his comments, with a tearful Jenkins even telling him to “shut the f*ck up”.

Jenkins deleted the original Instagram video after stating that it would be more about the headlines, posting this powerful, longer video in place of it, saying he “wants people to understand how those of us [are] struggling with what’s going on.”

Jenkins has been a leader in the movement Colin Kaepernick started to bring awareness to racial oppression and police brutality, once holding up signs during a locker room interview, stating that those criticizing anthem protests “aren’t listening”.

It seems like some still aren’t.
