The Washington Redskins on Friday issued a statement saying that they will “undergo a thorough review of the team’s name.”
In light of the racial unrest in America, a spotlight has been put on the Redskins logo and team name and on Thursday the pressure grew as various investors of the team including Nike and FedEx formally requested team owner Daniel Snyder to change the name.
