Tuesday was a tough day for the New England Patriots as they saw a number of key players opt out of the 2020 season due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The total number of players is six and includes included some key contributors on defense (Dont’a Hightower, Patrick Chung), offense (Marcus Cannon), and special teams (Brandon Bolden), as well as a promising free-agent addition (Danny Vitale).
If the NFL is able to pull of a 2020 season, the Patriots will have plenty of holes to fill.
Or could this be all a master plan being put together by Bill Belichick?
At least one anonymous NFL executive believes that to be the case:
Can you really put it past Bill?
