Chance Of Falcons Blowing The Leads They Did In Last Two Games Roughly 1 In 999,000

The Falcons set all kinds of records Sunday for all the wrong reasons.

After blowing literally a near impossible game to blow during Week 2’s game against the Cowboys, Atlanta decided to following that performance up with yet another blown lead – this time nearly just as bad.

The Birds had a 16 point lead with 6 minutes remaining in Sunday’s game against the Bears, and blew a lead to a team who had inserted their backup quarterback with Mitch Trubisky doing absolutely nothing for the better part of the game.

We all know what happened next, and the statistics on the Falcons blowing the lead they did Sunday following their the disaster in Dallas is mind-blowing. Atlanta has now lost games in which they had a 99.9% chance to win and a 99.1% chance to win, respectively. The chances of that happening are roughly 1 in 990,000.

At least for Falcons fans the Packers on the road are next up, so they won’t have to worry about their team having a lead to blow until Week 5.
