With the climate surrounding hate crimes against Asians around the world following the Coronavirus pandemic, Carlton Davis picked a bad time to tweet out an anti-Asian slur.
Coming off the back of the fallout of former Miami Heat forward Meyers Leonard using an anti-Semetic slur last month, the Buccaneers cornerback tweeted out ‘Gotta stop letting gooks in Miami’.
Davis claims he didn’t know the meaning of the term, citing Urban Dictionary, which provides the definition ‘lame’.
