The 8th ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish were in Tallahassee Sunday night in what ended up being an overtime thriller to wrap up Week 1 of the 2021 college football season.
Though they snuck a ‘W’ out, the Fighting Irish gave up 18 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to force overtime, narrowly escaping due to a Seminoles missed field goal.
Though happy about the 41-38 win, head coach Brian Kelly wasn’t too pleased with how close it ended up being, and said his entire team deserved to be “executed” during his postgame interview.
