Titans WR A.J. Brown Blames Chipotle For Food Poisoning That Left Him Questionable vs Bills

A.J. Brown was questionable heading into the Titans’ Monday Night Football game against the Buffalo Bills after he came down with an illness before kickoff and on Monday, fans were provided with more clarity on what happened.

Apparently, Brown was dealing with food poisoning.

What caused the food poisoning?

“Chipotle,” Brown told reporters after the team’s 34-31 win over the Bills. “I’m sorry, Chipotle. Probably won’t get an endorsement deal with Chipotle.”

“I got like three IVs,” Brown said. “I got two this morning. I got a bag-and-a-half before the game. Like I said earlier, I didn’t know if I was gonna play or not, but they expected me to play.”

Brown, who has dealt with a hamstring injury for most of the 2021 NFL season, lost eight pounds over 48 hours as a result of his sickness and had to take fluid intravenously to play against the Bills.

As expected, Brown was hindered a bit by his sickness.

“The first half, to be honest, man, I was feeling really bad,” Brown said, per The Tennessean. “I couldn’t get myself going. They was trying to bring me along slow because they knew they’d need me in the second half.”

In the game, Brown recorded seven catches for 91 yards to help the Titans to a much needed victory.
