Last week all eyes were on wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., after he got his wish for a release from the Cleveland Browns.
Throughout the week, it was reported that Beckham was decided between the Chiefs, Packers, Patriots, Seahawks and the team he ultimately ended up signing with, the Los Angeles Rams.
But there was one team that made a last-minute effort in signing the disgruntled receiver.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Steelers called to make a last-ditch effort to sign OBJ:
You can’t blame the Steelers for trying, who are without two of their top two receivers in JuJu Smith-Schuster, who is out for the season, and Chase Claypool, whose week-to-week with a toe injury made an effort to sign Beckham Jr.
