Petition To Move Super Bowl From Sunday To Saturday Surpasses 100k Signatures

The words Super Bowl and Sunday go together like peanut butter and jelly, and yet Saturday would just be so much better.

For some reasons unbeknownst to us, the day after the Super Bowl is not a national holiday, and statistics show that day is one of the worst days in terms of productivity of any day of the year.

18-year-old Florida High school student Frank Ruggeri started an online petition to move Super Bowl Sunday to Super Bowl Saturday, and to no surprise, it’s been raking in the signatures.

Ruggeri argues that moving the big game from Sunday to Saturday could prevent all the calls in sick to work.

“It’s really, really important to me because 17.2 million people miss work,” Ruggeri said during a TV appearance. “That’s 44 billion dollars less of productivity.”
