The FCFL, or ‘Fan Controlled Football League’ tweeted out last month that they don’t test for weed and no league should.
On the back of that, one player took that statement a bit too seriously.
Jason Stewart celebrated a touchdown last week by sparking up a joint along the sidelines, proceeding to yell into the camera “Blaze up my friends, blaze up!”
While acts like this surely get the league ore attention, the move apparently crossed the line in respect to their guidelines and the fact that Stewart did his celebration in a state where the drug is not legal.
Stewart, QB for the Zappers, has since been cut by the team.

WHILE THE FCF FULLY SUPPORTS PLAYER’S RESPONSIBLE USE OF CANNABIS, UNFORTUNATELY IT IS STILL ILLEGAL IN THE STATE OF GEORGIA AND IS BANNED BY OUR VENUE AND HOTEL PROPERTY PARTNERS – SO OUR POLICY OF NOT ALLOWING SMOKING AT THESE SITES IS WELL KNOWN BY ALL OF OUR PLAYERS.”
The Zappers backup QB is none other than Johnny Manziel.
