The Houston Texans will sport a new helment color for the first time in franchise history this year.
The team unveiled their new ‘Battle Red’ helmets Tuesday and announced plans to wear them during Week 3 when they take on the Philadelphia Eagles.
The new helmets are the latest in the new wave of teams releasing alternate helmets amidst the leagues’s lightened stance on player safety in regard to a single helmet being worn by each player for the entirety of the season.
