Packers CB Jaire Alexander Text Bears Player To Apologize For Calling Him A ‘Scrub’ After Game

During Sunday’s Packers-Bears game in Chicago, Bears WR Equanimeous St. Brown made a sweet 56-yard catch while being covered by Packers’ locker down corner Jaire Alexander.

Alexander would get the last laugh, but undercutting St. Brown for the game-sealing interception but Alexander was still pissed about giving up that catch to St. Brown, telling reporters that he wasn’t worried about covering that “scrub.”

ā€œNothing. Man, he a scrub. I canā€™t believe I let him catch that on me. But hatā€™s off to him because he did make a good catch,ā€ Alexander said, via The Athletics Matt Schneidman.

24 hours later, St. Brown stated that Jaire Alexander has apologized for his comments.

There appears to be no bad blood between Alexander and St. Brown, with the veteran cornerback reaching out to the wide receiver. These two teams are done playing each other this year, but those words could come back up in 2023.

The victory in Chicago snapped a two-game losing streak and improved the Packersā€™ record to 5-8 through 13 games. They kept their very slim playoff hopes alive.
