It was thought on Sunday that the 49ers may have won the battle against one of the league’s top teams in the Dolphins, but lost the war, losing QB Jimmy Garoppolo for the season to a broken foot.
Just a few days and some second, third and fourth options later, and there’s a possibility now that 49ers fans will see Jimmy G this postseason.
Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the 49ers signal caller no longer needs foot surgery and if rehab goes according to plan, he’ll miss only 7-8 weeks.
