Chargers WR Mike Williams Ruled Out Of Playoff Game After Getting Injured In Meaningless Week 18 Game

The Los Angeles Chargers were playing a meaningless game in Week 18 that had zero implications on their already-clinched playoff berth. But for some odd reason, head coach Brandon Staley decided to play all their starters for the majority of the game.

During the game the team had Nick Bosa leave the game with injury but the worst came with Mike Williams, who was carted off after suffering a back injury during the game.

After the game, Staley downplayed the decision and said Williams would be ‘OK’ for the team’s Wild Card Playoff Game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

As it turns out, that’s not true as Williams was ruled out for the game:

This is a brutal loss for the Chargers and what makes it even worse is Williams was injured in a meaningless game.
