New York fans are irate and not just because the Philadelphia Eagles are headed to the Super Bowl but because the Eagles are headed to the Super Bowl and one the most iconic buildings in New York decided to honor the Eagles by lighting up in the Eagle green.
The Empire State Building sent out a congratulatory tweet to New York’s heated rival while also lighting up the building in the Eagles colors:
This didn’t sit well with Giants (and Jets) fans who let the folks who control the Empire State Building know:
