Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens are headed towards another offseason that’s going to be full of contract negotiations and trade rumors.
According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, Jackson and the Ravens could be as high as $100 million apart in contract talks while adding that the trade discussions for the former 2019 NFL MVP could be coming:
“Yes, Baltimore and Jackson could possibly be $100 million apart there, a massive gap to bridge. Those trade calls are coming. I don’t get the sense that that process has heated up, in part because teams are assuming Jackson will be tagged. It’s still very early on this one.”
This will be the second straight off season where Lamar and the Ravens are locked in a deep contract dispute. Last year, Jackson declined a five-year deal worth $250 million with $133 million guaranteed at signing.
