The defending-NFC Champion Philadelphia Eagles have taken a few hits this offseason with defensive lineman Javon Hargrove departing for San Francisco and linebacker T.J. Edwards leaving for the Chicago Bears but the biggest hit is coming today.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Eagles set to release cornerback Darius Slay after failing to come to an agreement on a restructured contract:
The Eagles were able to retain James Bradberry, who signed a new three-year contract with the Eagles on Tuesday but lose his counterpart. In addition to Slay departing, the Eagles also lost Marcus Epps and C.J. Gardner-Johnson remains a free agent.
Slay was a Pro Bowler in 2022.
