You could say some of the best trades are the ones that never happened.
The Russell Wilson sweepstakes was he talk of the offseason a year ago when it was evident the Seahawks star QB wanted out of Seattle, and the Eagles apparently wanted in.
Per NFL reporter Dov Kleiman, Philly attempted a trade for Wilson, but Russ refused to waive his no-trade clause in a move that would send him to Philly. The same happened for the Washington Commanders as well.
No word on if Jalen Hurts was included in the trade.
