Josh Harris has been the owner of the Washington Commanders for a little over a three days and he’s already made a pretty remarkable achievement before the team has even started training camp for the upcoming season.
According to date provided by the Commanders, the franchise has already exceed their total revenue from ticket and suite sales compared to the entirety of the 2022 season.
Washington’s ticket sales have seen an astonishing increase of 52% year-over-year, which reflects a growth in enthusiasm amongst Commanders’ fans to support the team under the new ownership group.
In addition, suite sales have been so promising that the team is estimating for sales to double last year’s figures, which will further bolster the team’s financial outlook.
The boost in revenue comes after the NFL owners approved the historic sale of the Washington Commanders for a record-breaking $6.05 billion.
This purchase signaled the end of the era under previous owner, Dan Snyder, who had faced widespread criticism for incompetence and various issues surrounding the team.
Fans are now hopeful that a new era has dawned in Washington with the arrival of a new ownership group led by Josh Harris, offering a fresh start and renewed hope for the Commanders.
