Commanders Team President Comments On Changing Team Name Back To Redskins: “It’s Not Happening”

It’s an exciting time for the Washington Commanders as the team has had interest and passion in the franchise be renewed after Dan Snyder sold to the team to new owner, Josh Harris.

There are many exciting things being worked on for the team including a new stadium, but one interesting topic has been about another potential rebrand of the franchise.

The team has gone through multiple names over the last several years, and some fans have wanted the team to go back to its original nickname – the Washington Redskins.

But according to the team president Jason Wright, that’s not going to happen.

The Commanders may rebrand again in the coming years and if they do, they won’t be going back to be named the Redskins.
