The mystery team that were involved in trade talks with the Indianapolis Colts for Jonathan Taylor has been revealed.
According to ESPN’s Stephen Holder, the Green Bay Packers reportedly had “legitimate interest” int trading for the star running back.
Taylor wants out of Indianapolis and was allowed to shop himself to the rest of the league, but the Colts failed to make a deal by their Tuesday deadline, Holder said. A trade remains a possibility with the NFL trade deadline set for Halloween.
The news is pretty shocking considering the Packers have one of the best one-two punches in the NFL with Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon. The assumption is that the Colts would have had to take on Dillon and picks in a trade for Taylor.
Clearly that didn’t work out as Taylor remains with the Colts.
