REPORT: Saints QB Derek Carr Taken To Hospital After Suffering Injury vs Packers

The New Orleans Saints lost more than just a game on Sunday afternoon.

The team lost starting quarterback Derek Carr after he left the game in the third quarter with a shoulder injury. Apparently, the injury was so severe that Carr had to be taken to the hospital, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport:

#Saints QB Derek Carr is being taken to a local hospital to run additional tests after having X-Rays at the stadium, sources say. They will check for, among other things, internal injuries.

When Carr excited at the game, the Saints were up 17-0 on the Packers. Jameis Winston replaced Carr, but New Orleans was shutout while the Packers put up 18 unanswered fourth quarter points, taking the lead on a touchdown pass from Jordan Love to Romeo Doubs with less than three minutes remaining.
