REPORT: NFL ‘Pushed’ TV Networks To Run Free Taylor Swift Promos During This Past Week

The National Football League is really milking this Taylor Swift thing and it’s leading more and more conspiracy theorists to believe that the league’s favoritism towards Swift means they are favoring the Chiefs to win games.

Swift’s appearance at the Chiefs last two home games has led to a big bump in NFL ratings and the league is going out its way to push Taylor Swift even more.

According to Andrew Marchand of the New York Post, the NFL has even asked its networks to run free promos for Swift’s movie coming out, “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour.”

Anybody watching football saw the many commercials that were run this past Sunday and Monday.

Sunday Night’s Chiefs-Jets game drew 27 million viewers, which made it the most-watched Sunday TV show since the last Super Bowl. It is no secret Swift is bringing her fan base with her when she shows up to games. This is especially true for women as teen girls in particular spiked 53% from the season-to-date average of the first three weeks of “Sunday Night Football.” The audience among women ages 18-24 was up 24%, while viewership for women over the age of 35 increased 34%.

The Chiefs-Vikings game this weekend will air on CBS and it’s unknown if Swift will be in attendance.
