BREAKING: Giants QB Daniel Jones Won’t Play vs Bills Due To Neck Injury

When the New York Giants take the field against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night, they will be doing so without their starting quarterback, Daniel Jones.

On Friday, head coach Brian Daboll confirmed to reporters that Jones will not play in the team’s Week 6 game against the Buffalo Bills.

Jones suffered the neck injury during the team’s Week 5 loss to the Miami Dolphins after being sacked by Dolphins defensive end Andrew Van Ginkel.

It’s been a rough season for Jones and the Giants, particularly on offense as they have yet to score an offensive touchdown so far this season. Jones has also been sacked 28 times, which is second behind Commanders QB Sam Howell, who’s been sacked 29 times.

This isn’t the first time Jones suffered a neck injury, he suffered one in 2021 which forced him to miss the team’s final 6 games. Jones also had offseason neck injury that year.

The Giants seem optimistic that this injury isn’t as severe as that one but it’s bad enough to knock Jones out of this game and who knows about next week.

Tyrod Taylor is set to start in Jones’ place on Sunday.
