REPORT: People Inside Patriots Organization ‘Rather Lose Than Win’ Games To Get High Draft Pick

The New England Patriots are in the midst of their worst season under Bill Belichick and despite it being mid-October, many people inside the organization have already turned the page on 2023 and are focused on 2024 and getting a high draft pick.

According to Mike Giardi of Boston Sports Journal, there are people in the Patriots organization that are looking towards the 2024 Draft and would “rather have more losses than a minor two” that could impact their draft position.

The Patriots are 1-5 and have a huge question mark as Mac Jones continues to regress more and more. There are rumblings that Robert Kraft is very unhappy with Bill Belichick as the team has failed to reach championship level play since Tom Brady left New England for Tampa Bay in 2020.

If the Patriots are looking ahead to the 2024 NFL Draft, they are doing so with the idea of drafting either Caleb Williams (USC) or Drake Maye (North Carolina).
