Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill had a hilarious response after referees warned him over his signature “peace” touchdown celebration before Sunday’s game.
Hill has famously thrown up the peace sign as he ran by defenders and into the end-zone. He’s been flagged and fined multiple time for it.
And, prior to playing the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, ‘Hard Knocks’ microphones caught referee Bill Vinovich telling him not to flash the peace sign during the game.
Hill had the perfect comeback, claiming he throws up the sign because he’s “spreading world peace,” though he did agree to back off.
There’s nothing peaceful about what Hill has done to NFL defenses this season. He remains on pace to become the first receiver to hit the 2,000-yard mark, which he said he would do before the season started.
With seven games left to play, Hill needs 778 yards to reach the milestone, which would see him break the record of 1,964 yards Lions WR Calvin Johnson set in the 2012 season.
The Dolphins travel to East Rutherford, NJ. to take on the Jets on Friday.
