Not exactly what you’d be wanting to hear if you’re Bryce Young…
David Tepper fired head coach Frank Reich this week after just 11 games out from hiring him, continuing the Panthers new owner’s clear impatience with coaching for his sports team portfolio.
The Panthers, who trading what’s shaping up to be the No.1 overall pick in this year’s draft, DJ Moore and more to draft Bryce Young with the No. 1 overall pick have gotten off to a rough 1-10 start to the 2023 season, and following the decision to can Reich, Tepper gave a press conference to address the media regarding the situation.
Tepper shockingly addressed and also confirmed the rumors that the team originally intended to trade up to the second pick in order to take CJ Stroud, thinking Houston would take Bryce Young with the first overall pick, content with taking the Ohio State QB.
That of course didn’t happen when the Panthers traded all the way up to the first pick, taking Young.
This surely won’t help instill confidence in their young QB who is clearly lacking that at this point in his career.
